Team trek Larapinta to raise $42k
Reaching the top of Mount Sonder to watch a magnificent sunrise was one of the highlights for our team of trekkers who have just returned from completing the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory.
Together, the team trekked through the harsh outback for six days and raised an incredible $42,000.
The Epworth Medical Foundation fundraising challenge team included nine staff, past patients and friends, as well as Associate Professor Ron Sultana, Director of Emergency Medicine and Dr Michael Dally Head of Epworth’s Stereotactic Department.
All money raised will be directed to oncology and emergency care including a dedicated oncology nurse scholarship in honour of Epworth supporter Anne Meade. Anne’s husband Phil and daughter Jess both proudly participated in the challenge.
Congratulations to the team who have returned with new friends and a bunch of great memories.
